Help East Sussex residents stay warm and well this winter

As we head into the colder months, staying warm at home will be a concern for many. High costs of living and high energy bills are a big concern, especially for those who already find it hard to heat their home, or who are on a low income.

The East Sussex Warm Home Check service (provided by Citizens Advice East Sussex) is available to all residents, including staff, their friends, relatives, and neighbours who may need help. This free, impartial service offers practical energy advice and can provide assistance with heating repairs and small home improvements for eligible households, helping residents stay warm all winter.

How to refer:

People working in health, social care and community and volunteer roles are critical partners in helping East Sussex residents stay warm and well. The Warm Home Check service encourages professionals to take up the accessible, free training opportunities on offer to better support households coping with high energy bills and cold homes. This training equips staff with the knowledge to identify vulnerable people at risk from living in a cold home and connect them to available resources.
