Macmillan HOPE Programme

Have you been affected by cancer and are looking for practical ways to improve your wellbeing, confidence and quality of life?

The Macmillan HOPE (Help Overcome Problems Effectively) Programme is a free self-management course designed to support people living with and beyond cancer. The programme helps participants develop skills and strategies to manage the physical, emotional and practical challenges that cancer can bring.

Over six weekly sessions, participants explore topics including:

– Managing fatigue and energy levels
– Coping with stress, anxiety and uncertainty
– Improving confidence and emotional wellbeing
– Goal setting and problem solving
– Healthy lifestyle choices
– Building resilience and maintaining positive change

One of the most valuable aspects of the programme is the opportunity to meet others who have had similar experiences. Participants consistently tell us that the peer support, shared understanding and chance to learn from one another are among the most helpful parts of attending.

Previous attendees have described the programme as helping them to feel less alone, more confident in managing their wellbeing, and more hopeful about the future.

Places are limited and booking is essential.
