Organisation HOMELINK

Volunteer Coordinator - HOMELINK
Why we need your help.
Every year we help hundreds of people facing eviction and homelessness into secure housing through the provision of loans to cover the cost of landlords’ deposits and advance rent. We also provide grants to buy essential items for a new home, and for emergency accommodation.
We rely upon fundraising, donations, and grants to enable us to do this. To help with this we have volunteers.
This role vital to will enable us to provide more support to volunteers and coordinate their contribution, helping to maximise the impact we have as a charity.
What time should you offer?
We anticipate up to 3 hours per week on average. You will be able to choose the amount of commitment / working days to suit your circumstances.
Where will you be based?
We envisage that this role will be mainly home based with the occasional need to attend our office at The House of Friendship, 208 High Street, Lewes, BN7 2NS.
What activities will you be involved in as part of this volunteer role?
This can be varied but will typically include things like:
• Acting as the first port of call for operational volunteer queries
• Undertaking periodic check ins with volunteers to discuss progress
• Coordinating HOMELINK’s volunteer programme
• Liaising with the Lead Trustee, Role Supporter and Volunteer Coordinator (Recruitment)
• Providing policy, procedure, and information to volunteers
• Reporting to the Management Committee on volunteer performance
