Eastbourne Borough Council- Business Training Opportunity!

Want to reduce your energy use, cut costs and make your business more resilient?

Be Business Energy Wise is a free programme offering practical energy support to eligible East Sussex businesses.

Delivered by ‘always possible’, the programme will help you understand where your energy goes, identify sensible improvements and decide what to prioritise. You do not need an existing sustainability plan or any technical knowledge – the support will be shaped around your business, premises and needs.

Why take part?

Making decisions about energy improvements can feel complicated, particularly when you are balancing upfront costs with the potential longer-term savings.

Be Business Energy Wise offers independent, practical guidance to help you understand your options and take achievable next steps. Depending on your needs and eligibility, you may be able to access one or more of the following:

• A full energy audit of your premises, energy use and opportunities, with costed recommendations where possible.
• An energy diagnostic to identify priorities and create a clear next-step plan.
• Practical workshops covering energy use, potential improvements and how to build a strong business case.
• Peer sessions where you can share challenges and learn from other local businesses.

The support will help you leave with a clearer understanding of what to do first, what can wait and where further support may be available.

Who can join?

The programme is designed for small and medium-sized businesses based in East Sussex that want to understand their energy use, reduce unnecessary costs or make their premises more resilient.

It may be particularly helpful if:

• You are unsure which energy improvements to prioritise.
• Your premises or equipment use a significant amount of energy.
• You want evidence to support future investment decisions.
