The Sussex Voluntary Resilience Partnership (SVRP) invites emergency responders, emergency planners, resilience professionals, voluntary-sector organisations, and partners from across the Sussex Resilience Forum (SRF) to attend a dedicated Capability Showcase Event on 27/11/2026.
The voluntary sector plays a vital role in supporting communities before, during, and after emergencies. From trained volunteers and specialist equipment to welfare services, communications support, transport capabilities, community engagement, humanitarian assistance, and recovery services, voluntary organisations provide a wealth of expertise and resources that strengthen resilience across Sussex.
The event supports the SVRP’s objective of strengthening collaboration, shared learning, and effective partnership working between voluntary and statutory organisations.
This is an opportunity to discover the breadth of capabilities available across Sussex and better understand how voluntary-sector partners can support incident response, recovery, and community resilience. Through a series of short presentations and discussions, attendees will hear directly from organisations about the services they provide, the capabilities they can offer during emergencies, and the difference they make within our communities.
Why Attend?
- Gain insight into voluntary-sector capabilities available across Sussex.
- Learn how organisations can support response and recovery activities.
- Understand the resources, skills, and expertise available to SRF partners.
- Strengthen relationships between voluntary and statutory organisations.
- Explore opportunities for greater collaboration, preparedness, and resilience.

Community Resilience Funding Opportunity:
Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about the Sussex Community Resilience Fund (CR2), which provides grant funding to support projects that strengthen local resilience, preparedness, and community capability across Sussex.
The fund is administered through the Sussex Community Foundation on behalf of the Sussex Resilience Forum and aims to support voluntary and community organisations in developing activities that help communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies.
