Wealden District

As the local Voluntary Action, we provide a wide range of development and networking support to groups across Wealden – from Birling Gap, Polegate and Hailsham to Uckfield and Crowborough in the High Weald and on to Forest Row, Crowborough and Wadhurst in the North Weald.

In communities we work with you on a range of areas, including setting up a new group with the right structure and policies, identifying and applying for funding and much more. You can post on this website, receive news alerts, join networks and attend network meetings. We can also help you with volunteers.

We manage the Wealden Food Partnership which brings together over 100 organisations, businesses, and community groups to create a more sustainable, equitable, and resilient local food system. From addressing food poverty and reducing waste to promoting sustainable farming and food education, the Partnership collaborates on initiatives that make a real difference in our community.

Wealden Climate Change Network.

We are working with Wealden District Council and Wealden Food Partnership to establish a new climate change and nature network for the District.

Our launch event on 16 April 2026 attracted some 100 people from a wide range of organisations.
