*** BHSCP Baby Aspen LCSPR Learning Event ***
BHSCP are hosting this in person learning event on 9 July 2026, 9.30 – 16.30 at The Wing, The Brighton Centre, Russell Road, Brighton BN1 2RL.
In this event we’ll be joined by Rachel Egan, the Independent Reviewer and author of the Baby Aspen report, who will discuss the learning and recommendations from the recently published Baby Aspen LCSPR – BHSCP March 2026.
Discussion points will include:
- Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and how trauma in childhood potentially impacts on parenting capacity
- Parental mental health and perinatal mental health
- Accommodation rights for care leavers
- Trauma and young parents
This event is open to Brighton and Hove multi-agency practitioners, but as the LCSPR includes cross-cutting learning for all areas this event is also open to pan Sussex colleagues via ESSCP and WSSCP.
The full agenda will be circulated to delegates nearer the event.
