Change of Service Provider – East Sussex Domestic Abuse Service from 01/05/2026

Change of service provider:       

Advance Advocacy will be launching the new East Sussex Domestic Abuse Service on 01/05/2026. This replaces the existing service provided by Change, Grow, Live. Please see information from Advance below:

East Sussex Domestic Abuse Service

From 1^st May, Advance will provide free, confidential, and non-judgmental support to anyone over the age of 16 who is experiencing domestic abuse across East Sussex. Where needed, ongoing advocacy will be available to help victims and survivors increase their safety and access appropriate support services.

Advance will help with: 

• Improving safety

• Understanding survivors’ options and rights

• Accessing safer housing

• Ensuring survivors’ voices are heard by the services they need

• Navigating court and criminal justice processes

• Providing emotional and practical support

• Connecting survivors with other support services in the area

Advance can support survivors through:

• Face-to-face appointments

• Telephone support

• Video call sessions

• Interpretation services for individuals whose first language is not English

Advance is an innovative national charity, founded in 1998 to support women and girls to lead safe and equal lives.

As an organisation, we support individuals affected by trauma as a result of their experiences of domestic abuse and the criminal justice system. Many of those we work with face multiple intersectional challenges, such as improving personal safety, housing, navigating the criminal justice process and mental ill health by providing practical and emotional support whenever and wherever it is needed.

In East Sussex we offer support to all individuals over 16 years of age (regardless of gender, ethnicity, sexuality, immigration status, physical or mental health need) who are experiencing domestic abuse.

Advance works in partnership with a broad network of organisations across all areas where we are commissioned, to deliver coordinated and effective support, and is enthusiastic about collaborating with local services.
