First full Shakespeare play comes to Eastbourne Bandstand – with a punk twist!

Printers Playhouse Arts CIC is bringing Shakespeare to Eastbourne Bandstand like never before, staging the venue’s first full Shakespeare play with a bold 70s punk inspired take on A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

It’s a colourful, mischievous and distinctly unconventional night of theatre.

Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th September 2026 at 7.30pm, combining Shakespeare’s original comedy with a 70s punk-inspired aesthetic, music and an after-show party with DJ Plucky ‘Boo-Bastic’ Bottom.

This is Shakespeare, but perhaps not as Eastbourne audiences have seen it before.
