Who are The Trees Community Association?
We are a small charity that manages Willingdon Trees Community Centre in Hampden Park, Eastbourne. We manage the Community Centre for the benefit of all the people living within our community and provide opportunities for volunteering, training and education, leisure and sports activities, essential services, access to low-cost food and an affordable and accessible space for community hire.
Our aim is to improve the welfare and quality of life for the local community.

We strengthen our local community by providing a range of services with partners and volunteers to people in need within our neighbourhood and across Eastbourne.
This includes a Community Fridge and Pantry, advice services, youth clubs, older people’s activities, children’s playgroups, community gardening, a donation station and book exchange, community skills courses, free or low-cost café sessions and community events.
We support health and well-being and work to build community cohesion.

Could you help?
We are looking for effective people to join our Board of Trustees and help with
realising our continued goal to make a difference in our community.
TTCA Trustees are key to helping make this happen.
We need Trustees who can support our Governance and particularly seek people who have:
·Finance and commercial skills
·Business and social enterprise skills
·Marketing and promotions skills
·Charitable fundraising skills

Specific awareness of issues relating to the needs of disadvantaged communities would be desirable and we would particularly welcome applications from people within our community.
