The Black and Minority Ethnic Community Partnership (BMECP) aims to empower and support Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities, individuals, and organisations across Sussex. Established in 1996, BMECP provides specialist services and infrastructure support tailored to the unique and diverse needs of these communities, including refugees and asylum seekers. Our main activities include offering community development support, capacity building, and hosting events that promote inclusion and equality. We also manage the BMECP Resource Centre, a dedicated community space run as a social enterprise.
