Money Guiders Events October 2026 and Upcoming Talk Money week
Money Guiders Training leaflet, including October induction sessions and events.
If you or your colleagues would like to build confidence and develop skills in having money conversations with the people you support, we encourage you to attend a one-hour Money Guiders induction session.
Money Guiders is a free, City & Guilds-recognised online learning and support programme that can be completed at your own pace.
It provides practical guidance, training, events and peer support to help frontline staff feel more confident when discussing money matters and signposting people to appropriate support.
The induction session gives you access to the full range of Money Guiders learning opportunities, events and support networks. Available dates and registration details can be found in the attached leaflet.

I would also like to share information about Talk Money Week, which takes place from 2 to 6 November 2026.
This year’s theme, ‘It All Counts’, highlights how realistic, manageable actions – however small – can help people feel more informed, confident and in control of their finances.
How you can get involved
The Participation Pack and Communications Toolkit make it easy for organisations of all sizes to get involved.
They include activity ideas, conversation starters, social media content, posters, press release templates and resources to help you engage employees, customers, clients and local communities.
Whether you choose to run an event, share information through your communication channels or encourage more open conversations about money, there are resources to support your activity.

How MaPS can support you
Are you aware of, or are planning, any large events across East Sussex or the surrounding area that could benefit from a MaPS presence during Talk Money Week?
If so, please contact Natasha Cummings, South East Partnership Manager at MaPS, who would love to discuss how MaPS can support your activity and help connect more people with the free tools, guidance and support available through MoneyHelper and MaPS.
This could include helping to promote financial wellbeing, signposting trusted support and contributing to local activity that aligns with wider financial inclusion and wellbeing priorities.
Please feel free to contact her at: natasha.cummings@maps.org.uk
Why Talk Money?
With many people continuing to face financial pressures, access to trusted money guidance is more important than ever. Research shows that people who talk about money:
· Make better and less risky financial decisions
· Have stronger personal relationships
· Feel less stressed and more in control of their finances
Talking about money can help build confidence, improve financial wellbeing, and support people to take positive action.
We hope you will join organisations across the UK in helping people take their next step towards greater financial confidence, because when it comes to money, It All Counts.
